1983 mercedes 300d turbo diesel automatic electrical problem
1983 mercedes 300d turbo diesel automatic doesn't do anything when i turn the key, headlights don't work. new battery possibly a fuse problem. going to replace fuses. need other electrical solutions.
There is a junction block about 6 inches in front of the battery on the fender, there should be battery voltage on the big wires. The small wire is the starter solenoid. Front the junction block, the power goes to the light switch then to the ignition switch.

that sounds like the fuel return hose on one of your fuel injectors. You should get about 2 ft of hose and replace all of them including the one in back that is capped and the one to the injector pump. Im guessing when this happens there is fuel everywhere?
I presume you have the 300D diesel. If this is the case, you will need 6 quarts for non-turbo, and 8 quarts for the turbo 300DT. Both include a filter change.
undo the bolts that hold the alternator on its bracket there stoping you pulling the alternator off the belt
when you have the new belt on pull belt tight and nip up all the bolts again
you have problems in the reverse clutch assembly.reverse clutch piston and seal leaking.worn retaining rings.worn internal gears or sun gear.in put carrier.and reaction carrier.
