You state that car makes a loud noise when driving. Do you notice the sound more when you accelerate? If yes, then it could be either the exhaust manifold gasket or the donut gasket. The donut gasket is where the exhaust pipe connects to the exhaust manifold.

    It could also be a cracked exhaust manifold. Sometimes it is difficult to know for sure until you examine the manifold. If you do not see any cracks, then more than likely it is either the manifold gasket or donut gasket.

Sounds like a vacuum leak has developed in the intake system. While the engine is whistling, using a spray bottle with water and on the mist setting, spray along the intake manifold area and vacuum hoses to locate a possible leak.

The noise you describe may be due to hydraulic tappet leak back form a oil that is of the incorrect viscosity or a cheap oil filter that doe's not have an anti leak back valve in it .The noise is until the oil pressure builds up and makes the hydraulic tappets work properly.
