Aston Martin V12 Vanquish Oil service

Looking to do an oil and filter service on a 2004 vanquish. I am puzzled as to how to get the oil filter out of the car. Being buried as it is low on the LH side of the engine it is trapped by suspension tower, exhaust manifolding and lower engine panels. There is obviously a trick somewhere, but I cant see it. Thanks

I have already removed the lower underbody shield and been confronted with more panel work. There is a central panel with quite a large number of bolts (I think the fuel pump is attached to this panel as well) so I guess this could be the access I am looking for. Cheers and Thanks again.

You have to take off the underbody shield to get to it.
you will need a ramp/pit to be able to get to the many bolts/clips holding it on....best of luck....your looking at about 3 hours labour min...

There is a short cut that dealers can use, but don't like to as it leaves oil spillage on the panel. If you have access to a workshop, you could add a small 30cm x 30cm panel wiht a couple of self tapper screws in it, to make the next time quicker. The short cut the garages uses involves pulling off the left hand air intake

Where is battery located

I'm actually surprised at the lack of information about that vehicle. i would suggest looking in the trunk... as it is a rear engine from what i can find out. the trunk is in fact in the front.

Have an Aston Martin vanquish 2007. Battery is dead and can't use remote to open the car. The key does nt work either (both sets).

this works for other cars
can you jack up and support the car and hook a jumper cable to the positive terminal on the starter? If so you can hook up the jumper cables to a good battery and a ground on the car. This should give you the power needed to open the doors.
