2000 Hyundi accent 2 door Battery disconected, radio doesn't work

An electronic issue like this can be a fuse a battery issue ignition switch lots of possibilities start at the battery make sure it has a good charge.

have you recentally had a radio or other equipment fitted mine has done this also in the end i had to redo powwr to radio so it wasent a direct 12v and put it onto an ignition live also i spent a lot more and bought a desent make battery had no problems since mechanic not very good if he's disconecting computer it will run like **** if he does that thats what regulates fuel etc also if you disconect the battery it takes about 100 miles or so for the ecu to reprogram its self i have a c180 and it does it every time i disconect the battery if it still does it after this you have a short some where when you lock the car stand next to the boot and listen for a relay clicking if it does this its one on the relays mine was the imobilizer one replaced that and had no problems since hope this helps ivan

Put key in ignition, turn all the way forward, but not trying to start. Let alarm cycle 2 times, when it stops the 2nd time, remove key and alarm should be disarmed. This will only work if it is a factory alarm.

Usually there will be a broken wire or 2 in the door wiring harnesses. Near the hinges for each door there is a rubber boot, inside are the wires for the door locks. Pull back each boot and take a look at the wires. If there is only 1 or 2 broken wires, you can splice them, but it get tough to do when there a a lot, and then it's best to replace the whole door harness. It's not easy, but can be done by a reasonably handy person.
Whenever the battery is reconnected the alarm will go off, it's just the way they are designed. I usually just hook the battery up and then disarm the alarm with the key in the door.

If it is saying code 2, thats not a code to input anything. Its a error code for a hardware malfunction.

there are screws in the black plastic trim around the clocks, remove these and pull the trim forward. then remove the screws securing the actual clocks into the dash, then pull the clocks gently forward.
on the rear are 2 plugs and the speedo connection, these will need disconnecting to completely remove the clocks.
once removed on the rear of the clocks are the bulbs , easily removed by twisting the holders anti clockwise.

to re install, do the above in reverse..

I f you have ecu fitted,Itry disconnect positive lead on battery.Turn on ignition to get rid of any stored power .Pump brake pedal for about 20 secs(you will hear clicking in engine) when stops reconnect battery lead and try then

P1128 is a lean condition, try cleaning the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. You can buy a can of MAF cleaner at most auto parts store like Auto Zone, and they will have the instructions for you to remove the MAF. Try cleaning it first and then disconnect the battery, just make sure the radio is off first before you disconnect the battery. If the DTC 1128 is still there, the MAF may be bad and needs to be replaced but before you replace the MAF. Check with the Hyundai dealer for any TSB on that code. Good luck and keep me posted. The dealer want $270.00 for the MAF sensor!! ouch!! scouted around...NAPA has them for $105.00. Most local salvage yard for $35.00 - $75.00

key system on bottom steering column or linkage fro key mechanism to switch broken or main Relay wont quit

usually in lh kick panel,or glove box,sometimes under hood near battery. check for blown fuses.
