SOURCE: 2008 Ford F250 6.4 turbo diesel, have 3 DTC codes

Code1 p0088 = Fuel rail/system pressure too high
code 2 p0087= Fuel rail/system pressure too low
code 3 p2291 = Injector control pressure, engine cranking-pressure too low. I would suggest clearing the codes first and then rechecking to see which (if any) codes reappear. Good Luck.

Testimonial: "Thanks for quick response. I'll clear the codes as you suggest and see if they reappear Thanks"

What do codes P0411, P1000

P1000 code means the codes were cleared or the battery was disconnected
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Reset Description All OBDII scan tools support the powertrain control module (PCM) reset.
The PCM Reset allows the scan tool to command the PCM to clear all emission-related diagnostic information. When resetting the PCM, a DTC P1000 will be stored in the PCM until all the OBD II system monitors or components have been tested to satisfy a drive cycle, without any other faults occurring. For more information about a drive cycle, refer to Drive Cycles .
The following events occur when a PCM reset is performed:
  • Clears the number of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
  • Clears the DTCs.
  • Clears the freeze frame data.
  • Clears diagnostic monitoring test results.
  • Resets status of the OBD II system monitors.
  • Sets DTC P1000.

P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected

neither of these could cause a no start or no crank problem . Is the battery good an do you have good connections on the battery ? Do the headlamps show bright when on ?

DTC P0087: Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) Too Low

Circuit/System Description
The fuel injection pump supplies high pressure fuel to the fuel injection rails, and then to the fuel injectors through high pressure pipes. The fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor is a three wire sensor mounted in the right fuel injection rail. The FRP sensor uses a 5-volt reference circuit , a signal circuit, and a low reference circuit to monitor fuel rail pressure. This information is sent to the engine control module (ECM) to assist in the fueling of the engine.

Fuel Pressure Regulator Solenoid Supply Voltage
P0088, P0090
P0088
P0090
P0087, P0191, P2510
Conditions for Setting the DTC
P0087
• The actual FRP is more than 15 MPa (2,176 psi) below the desired FRP.
OR
• The actual FRP is less than 22.5 MPa (3,263 psi).

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• DTCs P0087 and P0088 are Type A DTCs.
• The ECM commands the engine to operate in the Reduced Engine Power mode.
• The message center displays Reduced Engine Power.

Important: Because of the cleansing properties of the biodiesel, switching from the straight diesel to a biodiesel blend can prematurely restrict the fuel filter with normal deposits in the fuel system. A fuel filter replacement might be required sooner than the recommended interval.
P0087
If DTC P0090, P0168 or P0191 is also set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle.
Ignition ON for 90 seconds, verify the scan tool FRP Regulator Command parameter is less than 20 percent.
? If greater than the specified range, replace the ECM.
Attempt to start the engine.
? If the engine does not start, refer to Engine Cranks But Does Not Run.
Install the CH-48027 to the fuel rail service port and slowly increase the engine speed until reaching wide open throttle (WOT). The value should be between 1-4 inches Hg vacuum.
? If more than the specified value, inspect for restricted fuel filter or damaged supply lines.
? If no restriction was found, test for high fuel return flow. Refer to Fuel System Diagnosis - High Pressure Side.
With the engine idling or at an idle, command the fuel pressure control to 180 MPa (26,106 psi) with a scan tool. Observe the Actual Fuel Rail Pressure parameter. The actual fuel pressure should be the same as the commanded pressure.
? If the Actual Fuel Rail Pressure is less than 165 MPa (23,931 psi), refer to Fuel System Diagnosis - High Pressure Side.
Important: If the fuel temperature is near 121°C (250°F) during the duplication of the complaint, or in the Failure Records for this DTC, inspect for a restriction in the fuel cooler air flow or the fuel heater always ON. Refer to Fuel Heater Always On.
Operate the vehicle within the conditions for which the customer complaint occurs while observing the CH-48027 . You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed in the Freeze Frame/Failure Records.
? If the vacuum was more than 12 inches Hg of vacuum at any time in the operating range, inspect for kinked or restricted fuel supply lines.
Operate the vehicle within the conditions for which the customer complaint occurred. Observe the Actual fuel Rail Pressure and Desired Fuel rail Pressure parameters with a scan tool. Fuel pressures should be the same for both parameters.
? If the Actual Fuel Rail Pressure is less than the Desired Fuel Rail Pressure, refer to Fuel System Diagnosis - High Pressure Side.
? If fuel system tests normal, refer to Diagnostic Aids.

P0087 p0088

code p0087 is pressure too low--- causes include fuel supply pipe blockage and code p0088 refers to fuel return line blockage. While you have changed every thing covered in the causes I suggest you have a look for a common point that the pipes run together that could be kinked or squashed . The low fuel pressure could be from a vacuum in the tank from a faulty cap . If the lines are rubber and run in the boot check that something like a spare tyre is not cutting off fuel supply and return

Jaguar x type fault code p0251 will not start

Well, let's see... Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0251 is defined by SAEJ2012 as "Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control "A" (Cam/Rotor/Injector)"

I think that with that code, ESPECIALLY with an engine that will not start, the OBVIOUS next step would be to properly diagnose the injection pump fuel metering control system.
If that code is no longer there, it can only be a result of somebody clearing the computer memory...Which would be a BAD thing to do unless ALL of the freeze-frame data was recorded first. Clearing codes like that also erases the rest of the information about the fault and when it occured that a diagnosing technician needs to properly diagnose the fault. Oh, It can still be diagnosed, but the time required to do so may be multiplied several times.....It just means the bill will probably be much bigger.

DTC P1000 is only an informational code to let the technician know that there is one or more OBD readiness monitors that have not run and completed since the last time that the codes were cleared. If the codes have been cleared and the engine has not run several complete drive cycles since, that explains that one...

Wats the code p1000 on my 2002 jaguar x type

P1000 JAGUAR - On Board Diagnostic System Readiness Test Not Complete, this is known as the OBD2 drive cycle.

Possible causes - The vehicle is new from the factory.
- Battery or Powertrain Control Module (PCM) had recently been disconnected.
- An OBD monitor failure occurred before completion of an OBD drive cycle.
- PCM Detected Trouble Codes (DTC) have recently been cleared with a scan tool.
When is the code detected? If DTC P1000 is triggered after DTCs have been cleared, all engine management OBD diagnostic monitor drive cycles have not been cleared. P1000 JAGUAR Description The On Board Diagnostic (OBD) monitors are performed during the OBD Drive Cycle. P1000 is stored in continuous memory if any of the OBD monitors do not carry out their full diagnostic check.
