Most likely the ac drain is stopped up. The drain is under the car near where a passenger feet would be. You can try gently running a pencil or something similiar to clear it out or compressed air.

Testimonial: "Thankyou, my husband removed cover and discovered tube had popped out of insertion site. We have no idea how it became dislodged. Hopefully that will fix our problem. Great help..thanks again"

2009 Chevy HHR water in floor passenger side front and back after heavy rain car was just sitting all day not driving where did 2 inches of clear water in floor come from,

Check the cabin air intake. Chances are the weather strip that lines part of the opening has come off. The intake should be accessible beneath the trim at the base of the windshield on the passenger side.

My 2001 jeep grand cherokee has a dark mist/smoke coming out of the vents, and defroster. But, the heater works fine. What could it be?

DO NOT USE STOP LEAK!!!!!! That stuff has no brain so you cant tell it to plug only specific leaks. It will go for the easiest hole to plug which can be a water port in the cooling jacket for the cyl heads. replace the heater core. Fix it right or bypass but please please please do not use anything that will stop a leak

2002 Mitsubishi Galant I am getting water accumilating on the passenger side floor board only when it rains. I can't find the leak....also water now travels from front to back passenger floor board....

It sounds as if the drain line from the vent is plugged. You'll need to get under the car (jack stands please ) to locate. In your forward vent where air comes in for your AC or just Vent rain will obviously get in to it. There is a drain hole at the bottom of this to allow water to flow out. With time from dead bugs, leaves, road dirt... this vent can plug. Under the car locate this vent line, place a small wire up within it to remove the blockage. After doing you may want to both test and flush by use of a garden hose. If there is a lot of accumulated debris it might plug back right away and you'll have to clear again.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

The passenger side of the car on the floor front and back gets wet only when it rains i think its coming from the front of the car (hood) what do i do thanks!

I woul look to see if the cowl drains on wither side of the cowl panel are clear form leaves and dirt. When it is dry, pour water into the cowl vent, under the hood. Water should drain out behind each tire, from the body. Ithe water does not run out, you will need to remove the cowl, and clean out the drains.

Rainwater pooling inside passenger cabin

I suspect that water is pooling in the cowl area (in front of the windshield). Since it's at an angle, the water can't drain out the usual drain. This is also where the air is drawn in for the heat/a/c. I think that the water that collects is flowing in through the climate control system and coming out the floor vent. If you want to test it, jam some paper towels up in the floor vents and recirculating air intake and see if they get wet. If you just want to solve the problem, try backing into the space.

Front passenger side carpet getting wet

The AC evaporator units have a drain hose that runs through the floor because condensed moisture is a fact of life with AC units. Yours is plugged. You will have to get under the vehicle and look for the hose where it comes out, then take like coat hanger wire and clean it out, It is somewhere in the vicinity of where the passenger foot well meets the fire wall. If you have to raise the vehicle to get under it, make certain you have it safely supported. If you don't have the stuff, drive the passenger side wheels up on a good curb and use some cardboard to slide under.

Water leak on fwd and back passenger side after every rain storm

pull your carpet up near the leak area and look for muddy body seams. it is possible one of the factory body seams are leaking- possibly in the cowl(under wipers) area, especially if it leaks when the car is sitting. there will be dirt/mud around the seams that are leaking. also you can check door seals by running the car on HIGH DEFROST with all doors and windows closed. spray around with a 50/50 soapy water solution. obviously bubbles will form around your leak.

Water coming in to front passenger floor when it rains

The heater/airconditioner box under the dash has a drain hose to allow condensation to drain when the air conditioner is running. If this hose gets plugged, rain may accumulate in this box also (if it's raining heavily), as it comes in through the fresh air intake.

Look on the engine side of the firewall, probably on the passenger side, for a hose coming through the firewall that is not connected to anything. It is usually short, has a 90 degree bend, and the open end is down. Make sure that the end of this hose is not plugged.
