Volvo s40 2002 radio hu 605 radio says OFF any suggestions

Try IPD's Website, they have all kinds of great how to videos on line.

You must have entered bad code several times.
If the radio belongs to you, turn on for two hours and it will ask for the code again.
If the radio belongs to someone else, return it to the owner.

The code is 6666.

Hello! The code for a HU-405 stereo can be acquired at a Volvo Dealership...However, you will need the part number of the radio...It is located on the same sticker as the serial number...

that is an anti-theft feature that only the dealer has
some more expensive scan tools can retrieve it, but my cheap $2000 tool cannot
furthermore, I would have to connect to your car and I cannot via the web

The good news is that if you talk real nice to the dealer they will usually give it to you for free once they inspect your vehicle

take the ownership and see any dealership. You can get if for free if there is no change from beginning.

Volvo codes are usually readily available for free from your Volvo dealer providing you can quote the VIN and Radio Serial Number

Push the volume button to switch it on..Then enter the code.

One thing about Volvo CD player/changers...they tend to not like burned CDs and even more, burned CDs with labels on them.

I'd suggest against trying to get it out yourself.

You can get it replaced and the dealership should have a form so you can get your CDs sent back.
