1991 Honda Accord It will not start, cranks but doesn't turn over

I have a 1991 Honda Accord & it will not start at all. It seems to me like it isn't getting any fuel. It cranks but it doesn't turn over all the way. How do I check to see if the fuel pump is working?

The Fuel pump almost never goes bad on this car' most likely cause is a bad distributor. You can take a spark plug out of your engine and plug into the spark plug wire, sit it on top of the valve cover. Then have someone crank the vehicle, while watching the spark plug. You should see a blue spark at the tip of the plug, it may spark off the valve cover also' thats fine. If there is no spark replace the distributor.

My kids 1991 Honda Accord won't start. It crank, it has sparks but it just won't start. I change the spurge plugs, the plug wires, the ignition cap, the rotter, the ignition behind, and there are gas....

Take the distributer cap off, and turn the engine. If the rotor doesn't turn, your timing belt is broken. If it does turn, aim a timing light at the crank and see what the timing marks are doing. If they are jumping all over the place, and not staying in one position, your timing belt has jumped and will need to be replaced. Good luck. Let me know how you make out.

1991 Honda Accord won't start. Battery seems ok

Sounds like the distributor. But you may have a faulty replacement coil..get an exchange and see if it is faulty. I have received many replacement parts that fail prematurely.

My 1991 Honda Accord will turn over but will not start battery light flashes on but doesn t stay on. It has been suggested that it might be the alternator and the distributor. Is this right?

1991 Honda Accord Starting/Ignition trouble

sounds like a bad battery or the battery cables are corroded where they hook up to the battery or loose. if it cranks for a couple seconds slow than clicks quickly there isnt enough voltage getting to the starter. not all new parts are good.
