After the pump stops the first time, how much more gas are you able to put in it? You shouldn't "top off" the tank because you can damage the vent.

If it keeps stopping when it's no where near full, I have a couple of links you can look at for a possibility. You can always call your dealer and see if there are any TSB's regarding this.

their are two fuel line at the front of the tank one is the fuel feed and the other is the return line! Now the ones at the back of the tank are for emission you don't want to break or damage those make sure you disconnect all of those line and the is a red connector also at the rear of the top of the tank make sure you disconnect that. And just make sure careful when remove fuel pump it has a tight fit coming out also when your done make sure all your hoses and lines are reconnected and the red ont too! GOOD LUCK !

as long as you didnt put in more than 30% of the tank capacity,just fill to the top with diesel.then fill again when 1/2 empty.
you will have a hot start problem so try to let the engine cool before restarting and do not use it for stop/start trips until empty.also DO NOT use full throttle or climb steep hills in too high a gear.
just to clarify.....the us/canadian army use gas in the diesel tanks in arctic conditions to stop the fuel from freezing......there engines cost 1/2 $million ......

check the fuse for the fuel pump. or the relay. actually, check all fuses...i think i've heard of this before on an equinox, where the owner actually replaced pump...it was just a fuse

In my opinion it is caused by having too little gas in the tank. You are not suppose to run it it with that little gas anyways because it is bad for your car since all the contaminants can be sucked into the injectors and cause all kinds of problem.

i had a similar problem and it was the fuel pump

Unhook the rubber hose running to the fuel tank, then:

1. Thread a slide hammer into the key slot and pop out the lock mechanism.

or

2. Using an air driven drill, drill out the cap with a nice step-drill bit.

or

3. Call a locksmith.

sounds to me you may be out of gas

alot of vehicles start to mis read at 1/4 tank

i would just through some gas in it and try it again

cycle the key on and off a couple of times to prime the fuel system
