2003 jeep grand cherokee limited overhead console dead and cruise control does not not work

Sounds to me as if a couple of fuses have blown. There must be a reason why they blew, sometimes is wires grounding or broken wires somewhere under the panel. Better taking it to a professional as could be something simple or something rather complicated. Good luck

How to remove Overhead Console on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, due to menu bottons not working

straight from the Jeep service manual

1.) Disconnect negative battery cable.
2.) Remove screws attaching front of overhead console to front of bracket.
3.) Pull console downward from area near courtesy lights. 4.) Disconnect electrical connectors and remove console from vehicle.

To install, reverse removal procedure.

Power loss

Sounds like a bad forward control module, or body control module. All those things run off of one computer.

Seems that the the connectors have become lose. i would check the fuses and wire connectors for flaws. i think the CPU is fine.

try unhooking the battery to see if resetting the body computer helps. low batteries and poor connections at the battery can cause weird problems like this
