I need to replace the fuse for my cigarette lighter in my 99 monte carlo. where is it? because i have 2 fuse boxes under the hood but most vehicles have a fuse box under the steering wheel as well

Try the fuse box under the hood on the left side of the vehicle. The cigarette lighter is listed as fuse 29. I've attached an image to help.
Fuse 29 is marked in green.

passenger side panel of the dash, the cover should have number for locations of fuses and what circuit they are for, if you don't find your problem there look for the fuse panel under the hood

Hi! The cigarette fuse is somehow interconnected with the radio fuse. If no luck, then i believe that the cigarette lighter needs to be replaced. Hope this helps and have a good one!

the fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is a 20 Amp (yellow fuse) in position #32. You can check the lid of the fuse box under the hood for a diagram to show the positions.
