Have you had the flywheel ring gear checked out for worn or broken teeth this can can stop the engine turning over

If it won't crank you might have an engine problem such as a broken timing belt.

sounds like your bendix on the starter spring load mechinism gear you will need to test it by removing your starter and hooking up a battery to it. You will see and hear the gear come out and turn...if it doesnt function properly then you will have to replace your starter.also may want to check the solinoid..

have you tryed crossing out the starter ? thar are fused wires that goes to the starter . you might have to use a test light

You didn't indicate that the starter turns over slow--that would be a strong indication of a bad battery, but if so, check your battery. If your battery is more than three years old, replace it. If the battery is good and you still have problems it could be a starter problem.
