When I hit a bump on the passenger side front tire there is a rattling sound. There is more than normal wear and tear on the tire. Didn't know if a shock gone bad could cause the wear and tear on the tire

Yes a worn out or broken shock will cause tire wear. But most likely you have a suspension problem. Need to check for play in upper & lower ball joints & inner & outer tirods.

Rattling, clanking sound over small bumps on drivers side front tires area when driving

Check the droplinks for the anti roll bar... some are like ball joints, and they can seize, which causes the symptoms you are getting.

Front end rattle when i hit a bump in a 97 tahoe

If it sounds tinny, crawl under when it is cold and tap the outer heat shields on the catalytic converter first, top and bottom, and then the heat sheld attached to the body. if any of them make noise, that is the source. These are the two likely issues.

If they are snug and quiet, look for anything hanging down. Inner fender liners come loose all the time and may the source as well.

RATTLING NOISE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE

The first thing to check on a rattling noise is if going over minor bumps in the road if that is when it makes noise is a sway bar link, they make a rattling noise. If you raise that wheel up you might also want to try and wobble the wheel to be sure it is not a tie rod end or ball joint. Typically I run into the sway bar links or the sway bar bushings making the noise. However ive even seen it be a rock sitting on the strut plate.

In 2007 I hit a pot hole on the front passenger side and i had to get a new tire and rim. When the dealership looked at my car they told me that I could have possibly tweeked my frame but they were not...

it sounds like definet frame damage. there is no surefire way of fixing due to it being a uniframe type. the only fix a shop can give you is lifetime alighnment deal and tires =(

Our 2003 kia spectra has a metalic rattle when you drive over uneven pavement or speed bumps. we ckeck suspension brakes wheel bearings shocks exshaust what is it

The heat shields that are positioned between the exhaust pipe and floorboard or between the exhaust pipe and sensitive electrical components are made of very cheap, thin, tin-like metal. When they rust on one side, one of the tabs comes loose and the whole shield will vibrate especially when accelerating. Since you are getting the noise when you hit a bump, you might check the area where you stow the spare tire (loose tools may be vibrating against the metal). Also the plastic protective pieces behind front bumper sometimes tear and will "flap' against the car and sound like a metallic vibration when you hit a bump especially if you were stuck in snow recently. Look for loose plastic pieces.

Front driver side suspension knock over bumps

See if you can bounce car and replicate the noise. If you can, you should be able to find it, and put your hand on it. Stabilizer bushing are a place to look, both at the lower a arm and on the frame. If you narrow it down to the strut, it will need to be replaced. The front trans mount also goes bad, try putting it in drive with your foot on the brake and give it some gas and see if the engine moves an excessive amount.
