Tip & How-To about Mazda Tribute

How to upgrade you're 2001 mazda tribute taillights to 2005 mazda taillights

Go to you're local dealer and purchase the circular tail lights with pigtails ,remove you're old squared taillights ,make sure you number you're pigtails on both tail light wire harnesses so you won't loose track of what wire goes with which wire. Use a wire cutter to splice the 2001 pigtails individually ,do the same for the 2005 tail light . Using connectors, place the wires together ,according to the matching numbers on the wires you have placed. Crimp the commectors and wrap with electrical tape, insert the light back in place and you have 2005 tail light upgrade.

Make sure when you purchase the bulbs you ask for 2005 taillight bulbs.

my 2011 Mercury Milan tail light on passenger side is out. The circuit board flickers when I push the brakes.

Make sure all bulbs are ok on the side that is flickering. You may have a ground issue and that can be related to a bulb

I have a kia sedona 2006. The left blinker light

Double check with your local Kia dealer and see if they will cover this under warranty. if they give you the "run around" call the service rep at the 1-800 number in your owner's handbook. They are located in Irvine, CA. If not, go to the dealer and purchase a new socket and pigtail for that particular light. They may have an updated part number if this has been a reoccuring issue.

2008 volvo xc90 rear tail light bulb out. trying to remove unit. only one allen type bolt. plastic unit will not budge. chipped edge already. very fustrated. what should I do?

This assembly give the dealer ship tech problems, poor design. I recommend you take it in o local dealer and have all your taillight bulbs replaced.
Because the other bulbs that still work is right behid the one that is burned out. (the life is the same)
It not worth the fustration, trust me.

taillights go out when brakes applied

sounds like a bad ground somewhere in the tail light system.......try removing one of the tail lights and if you jump the ground from somewhere on the body(preferably paint free) to the ground terminal on the back of the light pigtail (light socket) you should get proper operation.......another thought.......if you have trailer light wiring check to make sure its not corroded (green) Follow them under the box Some aftermarket wiring systems dont use weather proof plugs and they let the moisture in and cause bad connections.
