It depends on what type of vehicle you have. If it's an older distributor type, just unplug the wire and use a deep socket to remove the plug. Install in the reverse order.
If it's a newer vehicle with individual coil packs, each coil pack needs to be removed to get at the plug. Some vehicles are simple, some are a nightmare depending on if the engine sits front to back or sideways. Additionally it depends on what else might be in the way of the coil packs. Example an 01' Nissan Pathfinder. Two of the packs are obstructed by other engine components which must be removed first just to get at the coil pack.
