I can not find the fuel pump on this car

Here is the best solution i can find, apparently the fuel filter in a 2006 Sentra is connected to the fuel pump in the tank, under the back seat there is an inspection cover that will allow you access to the fuel pump. there is another fuel pump inside the fuel tank... this might already been corroded/blocked.

Please try to replace fuel filter and clean the fuel the tank then try to check the fuel pump and the strainer of the pump

I don't know what relays and fuses you want to check, but your 1988 Nissan Sentra is equipped with a mechanical fuel pump which is located on the rear of the engine under the intake manifold.
Your vehicle is also carbureted, not fuel-injected, so If I had your vehicle and it was lugging out on take-off, I would be looking at the accelerator pump in the carburetor, not the fuel pump.
It is SUPPOSED to be starved for fuel when backing off of the throttle.
Have you checked the fuel filter to see if it is clogged?

Nissan has a lot of problems with their fuel pumps for that year. You can have the pump replaced or they can install a repair kit and that will fix your problem. Unfortunately, Nissan has not had enough problems or complaints about this to issue a recall, so typically it is not covered under any type of warranty.

there is a voltage LIMITER located behind you gauge cluster.
Small silver box usually 4 numbers stamped on back with three wires out of it, yellow, blue, black.

your car might be covered under warranty if not go to any nissan dealearship parts dept ask for a fuel pump repair kit not the fuel pump and install it by removing your fuel pump assy that should fix your problem

CHECK FUEL PUMP RELAY AND FUSE IF BOTH OKAY.FAULTY FUEL PUMP COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

lOOK BEHIND THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. Compartmet is probabily plastic and all you have to do is push in real hard to get them past dash board.

it is located above the fuse panel under the dash left of the steering wheel. Sorry I cant remember its color. Hope it helps
