In which order do the sparkplug wires connect to the distrubutor cap

You may have got the spark plug wires out of sequence.
Reseat the coil wire going to the center of the distributor cap Check the spark plug wires at the distributor against the firing order as follows:
The spark plug firing order is 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered :
firewall 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 front

Firing order is 1-3-4-2. The Distributor is @ rear of head #4 cylinder. Rotation is clockwise looking into dist. #1 is bottom left post on cap.

u have put new coil and no spark in plug , it is ur distributor cap is needed replacement but first have a look inside the distrubutor cap for any wear if is u need new one ok

You didn't mention your engine size, so I've put the three diagrams in the following order... V6, V8 5.0L, V8 5.7L

Replace the Main Relay.

On the distrubutor cap looking from front no 1 is around the 1 o'clock postion(usually marked on the cap with no. 1) the firing order is 13726548 counter clockwise.
cylinders are passenger side front to rear 1234 and drivers side 5678

Spark plus are in the middle of valve cover will need a 5/8 plug socket and an extension to get to Plugs. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA

It should say on the intake if noti think the right side is 1 3 5 7 left is 2 4 6 8 if it back fires or dont start switch it around .
