My horn stopped working in my 1999 Nissan Altima. I located my fuse panel/box. The label on the inside of the fuse panel/box does not list HORN, therefore I'm not sure which fuse to check for the horn. I checked them all and could not locate any blown fuses. Should there be a fuse for my horn?

Please, please, please DO NOT post an answer if you do not know the answer. Nissan does not supply clear descriptions for its fuses!!! The use descriptions that are cryptic and confusing. That is why someone is asking - which fuse does what? For example, I have spent 2 hours trying to find out which fuse is for the power windows and I hate it when some (not)know-it-all says to look for the fuse labeled windows - there is no fuse labeled windows or horn or anything else that would be helpful. If you are not familiar with Nissan fuse boxes - just don't answer!
Hi!!
Check on the engine compartment fuse box by the battery, remove the plastic cap and look on the inside for the fuse location and description diagram. It should be labeled HORN. Check the Fuse first and then the Relay. To check the Relay, just swap it with another one with the same numbers on top of the relay. After testing, don't forget to replace the Relays to their original location. No need to turn key on since it is an Hot At All Time Circuit.
On some vehicles the Horn Fuse and Relay are located in the fuse box under Instrument Panel, driver's side.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!
Need to maybe replace the battery with a new one that doesn't leak, and clean up the battery connections with a wire brush so it's shiny and clean looking.
Check for blown fuses in the fuse box for the horn and speedometer.
There are three reasons for the horn going out. It could be a blown fuse "check the owners manual for fuse location", check the wiring at the connection on the horn "corrosion often occurs", or the the horn itself is bad. Hope that helps!
