i'm not sure which fuse to check. you'll have to consult your owners manual or pull each fuse to see if it's blown. there are fuses in the passenger compartment as well as the engine compartment. it might not be a fuse. it might be wiring or connections. i'll have to research more to find from where the voltage is supplied.

ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND CHECKED IT WITH A CODE MACHINE AND THE CODE IS U1411 U1403

OP: Posted by Barbara Frye on May 11, 2016
Barbara. get car serviced? at an ASE shop or dealer?
you cant fix this lacking tools, ill not try to guess.
did you first erase those errors (push reset on tool)?
and see if they return, ???? this is first.
have you had work on the pump/tank area.
in a collision?

here is why.
first check fuses. any blown.?
then do the cluster self test, no tools needed.
posted here 100s of time, need that?, or the free link to the test in the FSM book? posted that too 100s of times here. (ask or search)

next is scan it, see all errors, not just the 2 you see now.
a real scan tool shows all errors and for sure those that might be related, and any CAN-BUS errors.
a real scan tool can see all JEEP extended DTC errors.
also post if the instrument cluster is acting odd. in any way.
does the fuel gauge work? can you tell?
needle steady and correct for reality,

QOD: questions of the day,
does engine run?
does car drive, correctly day and night with bright head lights?
does any other feature of the car fail. any at all.
no charge lamp failures in cluster, nor volt meter below 14v in the cluster meter of same name (volts)???

1411
Theory of Operation
The Front Control Module isn't receiving a fuel volume signal over CAN B from the Cluster Module. The FCM has
to send the PCM a fuel volume signal over CAN C. The signal the FCM sends over CAN C is implausible.
my guess is 1403 is the real error. (primary)
the fuel sender might be glitching,

here is that sensor,
in the tank , part of pump, part of fuel rack. in tank.

What are the probable causes of DTCs P1402 and P1403?

Code 1402 is a problem with the DMTL motor and 1403 is the circuit for the valve.
It involves the fuel tank leak tester.

Faulty Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DMTL)
- Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage harness is open or shorted
- Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage circuit poor electrical connection

How can I change or test DM-TL?

code p 1402 refers to fuel tank leakage diagnostic module--motor malfunction===causes --fuel tank leakage motor diagnostic module motor
code p 1403 refers to the fuel tank diagnostic module ---valve malfunction
go to a service dealer and have the unit tested
it is possible that by replacing or cleaning the valve section , the problem will be fixed

Engine light

The first thing you can do is go to an auto parts store like NAPA, Pep Boys, or Autozone for example.
Ask them to scan your OBDII board to pull the error code(s).
Once they provide you with the code(s), they may be able to guide you to the specific problem.
You can also call around to area Ford dealers and see if they'll decipher the troubleshooting code(s); where I live- they want to make money on hooking up their readers- if you're lucky and can butter-up the service manager, maybe he'll tell you what the code(s) mean.
You can also buy an OBDII scanner for your car- there are some that may be in your budget- they usually come with support CD's. And there are a lot of online sites that you can get free and paid help from; like repair diagrams; step-by-step repair help. YouTube has some good videos too; and so does Autozone.

I have my own reader, it's an Innova 1403 Scan Tool; hope I've been helpful. Good lick on your project- please let me know how you made out.

I hv a 2006 chryseler town & country crackshaft pully making cherpping noise vibrations too thanks

Is it the pulley on the crankshaft or is it the tensioner locking up because of a bad bearing? If it is the pulley, buy a new one or go to the junk yard and buy one and replace it before you do serious damage to the engine and seals.
