I have a 2007 Pacifica and the check engine light came on and a code PO 420. What does that mean?

Usually does. But I check the O2 sensors first. Ohm check them and the wires. Your cats are expensive, I don't won't to misdiagnose.

I couldn't find engine code for 420 but may be body code take to AutoZone for free test and code meaning

420 & 430 are exhaust converter issues

You change no parts,you check for codes & component
test system faults using the codes, until you find a problem

code p0420 refers to cat converter system, bank 1 efficiency below threshold===causes --cat converter--wiring HO2S sensor 2

check that the cat converter is ok and replace the sensor. ( it is a HO2S sensor which will be different to a O2 sensor so get the right one )

Did you change catalytic converter or is leak in exhaust.

did you a full OBD2 scan on car, not the 1$10 tools that sees near nothing? it be wise to do that. now. see if there are other errors.
what i do is make sure the front 02s run perfect.
and engine holds closed loop at idle and light cruise
so the CAT has LESS to do, and might pass 420/430s.

what engine, what size. that is first question.
misfire, map ,maf, iat, ect,tps and cat fail and low coolant temps.

You Prabably need a new catalytic converter. Very common problem with toyotas. You will need to get a dealer part as the aftermarket converters will put your check engine light on eventually.

Thats a code for catalytic converter inefficiency. It usually means the cat is no longer able to process the exhaust gasses going through it and needs to be replaced. GM vehicles in general are no strangers to this happening.
