You maybe able to get it from the dealership, or a salvage yard, you can remove whatever wiring you need.

My temperature & fuel gauge doesn't work how to troubleshoot

To troubleshoot, I need year--make--model, vehicle sold in the US.
I'd check the coolant temp sensor and wiring circuits. The same thing for fuel gage sending unit. Sometimes for the fuel gage sending unit, I get a couple of resistors one represents empty, the other represents full. If the gage reacts properly then the problem should be the sending unit in the gas tank.

How do i check fuel sending unit with multimeter without dropping gas tank. fuel gauge isn't working and didin't want to drop it yet

Find the wires that run to your fuel gage. Hook one wire to one side of a "D" cell battery and the other wire to the other end of the battery. Your fuel gage should peg itself. If so the gage is good. That will tell you that more than likely the sending unit in the fuel tank is bad, If that is the case you will need to drop the fuel tank to remove the sending unit.

Bought a used 99 cavalier and the fuel gage goes from near empty to half and fluctuates as i drive is there a way to figure if it is the gage or the sending unit?

It is more likely to be at the fuel tank end of the system as the fuel level float is the consantly moving part and likely to become worn and give erratic readings. Replacing the sending unit should fix the problem. Also check for a loose connection in the wiring loom near the sending unit.

Oil pressure gage drops unexpectedly and fips back up. Has had a recent oil change.

The first thing I would check is the wiring to the oil pressure sending unit. It is most likely located in the oil filter mount or somewhere in that area. Chances are, the small wiring harness may have been bumped loose or cracked recently when the oil was changed. It all looks well with the wiring, consider changing the sending unit. Hope this helps!

1987 ford Bronco II fuel gage doesn't work-reads empty all time

I need to know if the other gauges are accurate. There is a voltage regulator mounted on the back side of the dash that can go bad and often does, that will make the other gauges inaccurate also.

Need to fix the gas guage on a 1980 jeep cj5.

You have one of two possible things that are not working. The sending unit in the tank may be bad, or the gage in the dash is not working. Use a "C" cell battery and hook the wires to the gage in the dash to the battery ends. If the gage moves the guage is good. If that is the result then you will need to replace the sending unit in the fuel tank. That will require removing (dropping) the fuel tank to gain access to the sending unit.
