Is the brake light switch hooked up. The wire can be broken near the switch and the switch can fail too. do the turn signals and 4 way flashers work? Course if you have yellow turns then that test doesn't prove anything, The grong to the tailights can fail it's near the trunk latch under the trim, Wire can be broken putting heavy objects in the truck. Does the high mount brake light work? The bulbs in them don't last long the harness to the lights in the trunk lid get in troble and fail too. The light out module has more than one power source and all three have to be good for the brake lights to work does the dash moniter turn on the warning light when you put the brake on with the key on? If it does and the lights don't work the three circuits are good but if the warning doesn't come on and the lights still don't work then your still looking for a blown fuse. even the cig. light fuse has to be good, Check all the fuses with a test light as some blown fuses can look good and be bad.

Brake lights and rear deck light do not work on 1991 Lexus ls400. I checked all fuses, bulbs, and Brake switch and they are fine. Help?

Have you probed the tail/brake lamp socket to see if power is there or you just assume it is? also make sure the ground is good for the brake lights Do that if not done already and let me know.

I have a 1990 Lexus 250 ES. Brake lights inop.

check the brake pedal switch by connecting a test light to it and ground.

When the pedal depresses you might hear a click or see the button depress.

The test light should light or not light changing as you press and release the pedal.

Another way to do this is to change the brake pedal switch and see if it works.

I hope this helps.
