My ABS light comes on at times on my 2006 Ford F250 SD

diesels missing is an indication of faulty injectors . I would have they pulled and the tips replaced.;

Have it scanned for a code
Most likely a bad Wheel Speed Sensor

I would start by unplugging the batteries for a few minutes and letting the system reset. Plug them back in and start her up. I had a similar issue and after driving a few blocks the light went off.

the connector is wet dry it out then push plug back into the plug in to solve problem.

I beleive the diagram is on the inside of the plastic fuse cover, mine is.

Speed sensor in the rear differential has failed.

You'll need to have ABS scanned for fault codes and go from there

I'm a Ford service adviser. There are many reasons for the
abs warning indicator to come on. The usual cause is from a
faulty speed sensor. Either a wheel speed sensor or the
differential speed sensor. I don't think the light is related to your vandalism. You might want to take the truck to an auto parts store and have them read the codes for you. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.
