I haVE A 1987 HONDA CIVIC CRX WHEN I GET ON THE FREEWAY AND GET UP TO 65 MPH IT STARTS TO STALL OUT LIKE ITS NOT GETTING GAS I HAVE TO LET OFF THE GAS THEN IT SARTS TO RUN SMOOTHLY. I HAV E REVED THE ENGINE IS FINE ONLY WHEN TRY TO GET AROUND 65 OR 70. COULD IT BE THE FILTER? IF SO WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

Yes it could be a fuel filter. It also could be a weak fuel pump. These are most common problems.

SOUND LIKE FUEL FILTER OR WEAK PUMP.IF YOU HAVE CARBURETOR FUEL FILTER IN REAR UNDER THE CAR IN FRONT OF SPARE TIRE FRONT IN LINE FILTER IS LOCATED AT THE CARBURETOR.IF YOU HAVE FUEL INJECTION ENGINE FUEL FILTER LOCATION IS ON FIREWALL IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.IF FILTER CHANGE DONT STOP STALLING PROBLEM COULD BE IDLE SPEED TOO LOW AND FUEL PUMP TOO WEAK NOT PUMPING ENOUGH FUEL FOR HIGH SPEED DRIVING.

    i had the same problem after changing the fuel pump with a used one, i realized the relay was out so i hotwired the used pump, now it runs all the time but after it gets warmed up it cuts out like its not getting any gas , i'm going to put the old pump back in today,, also i have changed the the fuel filter. would anyone like to help??? jimbob

It could have bad wire connection to the alternator, When the car runs try disconnecting the battery if it stays running the alternator is good and the wiring is good. If it dies then the alternator or the wiring is bad.

Would a 1984-1987 Honda Civic sedan/CRX hood release cable work as a replacement for the 1984 Honda Civic wagovan hood release cable?
The dimensions of those cars are nearly identical, so I would be highly surprised if it didn't fit. If it is only a cable you should be just fine. Those things have a high level of interchangeability.
