The front seat in the impala does not have front bolts...there are 2 bolts in the back..remove then pull back on the seat and lift out !

Hello there:
front seat removal is easy you will more than likely need a tourqs bit for the bolts under the seat if you look in the front you will find two bolts remove them and then go to the back there will be two bolts there to remove them and lift the seat out after disconnecting the wiring from the harness hope this helps you out sincerely D.Jones

I just bought a 2002 impala and the power seats won't move I can here the motor clicking but the seat won't move what do I need to do in order to get it moving?

You need to find out why it isn't moving. Possibly a motor/gear assembly will be required but it may be something mechanically simple.
Take a look first!

Use a flex head ratchet wrench to remove the seat, or temporary battery to power the seat, non power seat will fit but disabling you side air bag will shut down the whole SRS, and no air bags will work, this is against the law in some states

2002 buick park avenue power drivers seat won't go up or down

The most common problem is the gear breaking under the seat. There is one motor to make the front go up and down and one motor to make the back go up and down. The front up/down motor is the easier one to replace. I have a video of one way to fix the up/down motors. I demo the back motor. It can be window motor. All the windows have their separate motor. Before ordering the motor, check with any of the other motor first. If the motor gets weak. Then it will make such noises while moving the window up or down.If switch i replaced, then most probably its faulty motor. ------------------ Hope this helps.Thank you.

Drivers side power seat will not move. You hear the motor and seat tries to move but is stuck. How do you free the seat? Did not see any obstructions under seat.

The plastic gears in the motor break off a couple teeth. Dealer will try to sell you a new rack. You can also replace the motors and shafts, or you can replace just the gears. I just got done replacing one shaft and have the other one ordered. This seems to be the cheapest option.
