Have a 91 nissan maxima, replace injectors all 6, but now vehicle not starting and spark plugs are wet with fuel. i think there is no spark due to timing must have moved or jumped a teeth. vehicle cranks and cylinders are full with gas when i take plug out and turn engine manually. may i have damage anything else like any valves or just timing needs to be reset again? any suggestions.

-Have you connect all electrical lines to all injectors...?
-If yes. all are connected then do the following test:
-Disable the fuel pump by removing the fuel pump fuse.
-Disconnect all electrical line from the injectors.
-Use noid light tester to connect to each line then crank about 2-3
seconds to see any light. Do one after the others to all 6.
-If all lines have light then now remove all spark plug, leave it open then crank the engine for 6-7 time to clear all gas inside.
-install plug back into. connect all injector line.
Now start. You should be good to go.
Good luck

SOURCE: Nissan Maxima 1996 wont start

There was a common issue on these vehicles involving the ground from the transmission. The negative battery cable bolts to the transmission. Over time the mating surface of the trans to the engine will corrode causing a voltage drop between the engine and trans. This throws off the 180 signal from the crank sensor and the car will do exaclty what you are describing. The absolute best fix for this is to remove the trans, clean the mating surface on the engine block and the trans, chase the trans mounting bolt threads in the engine block and bolts, apply some dielectric grease to the mounting surfaces and reinstall transmission. I know this is a big job, but many have tried to short cut it with no better results.

Primary ignition fault. Reasons: Bad distributor cap (most likely) or ignition control module/ignition coil.

I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima. The car is an automatic and bogs down when I start to accelerate it also almost dies when I come to a stop.

so just and engine problem and 50 causes, actual,
when did car last run perfectly, never? (just bought it bad) or last decade? even bad fuel; of car was parked for over a year.

miles on engine is what 300k?miles.
sure filters, if not in the fuel tank. both air and fuel both
and new spark plugs, no engine told
gen 5 car. yes.
2 engines then

its 20 years old, ever do a full tune up, this decade?
scan the PCM yet for DTC errors? (p03xx errors/) oops
6 new spark plugs. oem spec, for sure.
and 6 new COP boots , the old ones are JUNK (pure)
seen here
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,2002,maxima,3.5l+v6,1431961,ignition,spark+plug+/+ignition+coil+boot,10150

stalls cured now ?
even partially clogged injectors, try Chevron fuel injector cleaner? to tank,? it can work ,others not.

last 2 is EGR, if it sticks open engine wants to stal.
bad ldle (too low), is stuck IAC valve.
TECH, bad engine, bad spark or bad fueling 1,2,3 in order.
we can not burn fuel(gas) lacking good spark so fueling is last,

or melted CATs and huge engine power loss.
them block exhaust flow, but is an easy vacuum test. (a tool)
low compression, lower than 150PSI on any of the 6.

if all is good, above fuel pressure is checked for spec, PSI
if low the FPR bad or pump weak
the service manual covers all PUMP ,FPR and injector leakdown and balance tests. using hand gauge. at the rail.

Misfiring in cylinder 6 so i changed the plugs and now I'm looking at the fuel filter

have you checked the HT Lead? or if is the coil failure? Also check if there is not any fault on the previous - if the injector on that cylinder is working correct and not pouring the fuel.Since you removed the spark plugs have you checked if No:6 was wet or dry?

Hello! First check fuse # 59 (7.5A)..If it is good the failure is a typical fault on your vehicle and is more than likely the cause...A defective ECCS relay (aka..EGI)...It is the ECM Module control...It is located in box 2 on the left side of the engine next to the battery....a common failure...The cost is under $20..see photo below...If the relay does not solve the problem...There is a Technical Service bulletin that addresses the issue...

Nissan pathfinder wont start. fuel pump checks out at 51 psi and spark plugs wet with gas

Try drying out the spark plugs. If the car starts after that, then you might have a leaky fuel injector. In my opinion, I think they're wet only because you probably were cranking it alot trying to start the car. I would change out the CAS (crank angle sensor) and see if she runs, as the majority of "not starting" cars I worked on was due to this. Hope this helped!

1990 Nissan Maxima Hard Starting

Hi.....
I recomand for your NISSAN.
replace the fuel filter, because they are Built on Metal and Cartoon, Throught the time The metal come corroded. The cartoon to fail apart.
Making a Obstruction of the Fuel pressure.

Replace the Air Filter. and inspect the Spark plugs.
They come corroded at outside of the Body. making the spark droped a metal.
Check the condition of the wires.

But one of the more important things IS The Distributor CAP and ROTOR. with the pass of the time they come corroded inside on the contact to each Spark plug wire.
Just Remove and Inspect, clean as nessesary. or replace.

Don't Put to much ADDITIVES. on a Single Fueled tank.
You can use if you want. But depend of the indication on back of the Bottle. Example. 1 for up to 20 gallons. 1 for up 25 gls. ECT...

OK... I hope this help on your question. and try to fix your vehicle//

Thank you for use fixya.....
