Hi: What Color is the Oil coming out of your Tail Pipe? I'm Assuming its Motor oil and not Transmission Oil.Since you found white looking substance in your oil It sounds like you have a Blown Head Gasket or both. And could be a Crank Block or Head ,Pull your Spark Plugs out, And Have someone Crank engine over and see if you are getting that white Substance Which i assume is Motor Oil.If you are getting ANY out of ANY Spark Plug hole then Is fair To Say you have a Blown Or Cracked Head Gasket.THERES only 1 Other Alternative On Older Vehicles than Yours is ,They Had what was Called a Vacum Modulator That Attached to the Auto Transmission, I worked off of Vacum From The Intake Manifold,And if the Diafram in It went Bad it would **** Transmission Fluid up Through the Intake Manifold and Burn It through your Intake and would come out tail Pipe as a WHITE SMOKE,But it normally would not be in the Enging Oil Or Radiator. So i Would 1st Check the 1st Advise i have Given You.Pull The Spark Plugs. Hope This Helps. Please REply by Voting if this Helped Youat All,Thanks From the WYOCWBOY

You might have a cracked cylinder head.I believe it is the 5.3 that has a problem with the heads cracking. This will cause coolant to go into the oil. There is a service bulletin for this problem and it is on certain heads. You will need to get it checked out before you do to much damage to the engine bearings and drivetrain.Hope this helps and good luck.

My honda civic shakes a little when I start it in the morning and then it's fine after a few minutes

DO YOU SEE YOUR HONDA CIVIC SMOKE AT THE TAIL PIPE, COULD IT BE THAT IT SMOKES WHITE.
HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR COOLANT LEVEL,
IF YOU NEED COOLANT OR SMOKES WHITE, MEANS THAT COOLANT GET INTO THE CYLINDER HEAD CHAMBER. ALL IT NEEDS IS A SMALL AMOUNT TO MAKE IT SKIP.

88 thunderbird white smoke and water coming from tail pipe

Possibly a blown head gasket, letting coolant into the cylinders to be burned. White smoke is usually coolant burning. Have the engine's compression tested to verify.

There is white smoke that come from the tail pipe and a little every 4 minutes under the hood did that like four time than stop and the fan is not coming on what could these things be

White smoke out of the tail pipe may be an indication of a bad head gasket in the engine. Pull your oil dipstick out and see if the oil looks a little milky.

I have white smoke coming from the tail pipe of my 1996 Cadillac DeVille. Not a blown head gasket, no water in the oil. Could it be my pistons or just needing new seal. Am I burning oil or have an oil leak...

hi... it all depends on the colour of the smoke... usualy blueish smoke will mean it is oil burning and your piston rings may be getting worn if it is black then it might be running too rich etc.. a little bit of water is fine infact usualy it is a good sign that your engine is not running rich or lean so it is pointing towards oil seals... also if it was running rich it would probably do it more when it was cold

Blown head gasket or not?

check oil dip stick for water/antifreeze and radiator for oil in antifreeze but usually alot of white smoke-steam from tailpipe usually indicates head gasket blue smoke means oil black smoke carbon

Backfiring, rough idel

I would check the exhaust pipe a little closewr. White smoke can also mean a blown head gasket. Check the tail pipe to see if moisture is present. Also check coolant level. A blown head gasket can also cause related problems.
