Many. Many ,Many yers ago I had the same car with the same problem.

Remove the negative battery cable from its post and connect an ammeter red probe
to the negative battery post and the black probe to the negative battery cable.
Now start pulling fuses until the voltage on the meter returns to normal.
(anything above a half of a volt is too high) The fuse you pulled to get this
result is the affected circuit. Now you have to probe it from its B+ source to
the load
to find the short. Check all connectors for rust and the line for opens or
shorting to ground. Repair accordingly. Good luck.. you may want to pack a snack it could take awhile.

Obviously, there is a short circuit somewhere. How to find out? Remove all the fuses and replace them one by one. Whichever causes the battery to drain is the culprit. Check that system thoroughly and rectify.

Hello Jr, The fact that the battery goes dead even with a kill switch would lead me to think the new battery is defective.

84 camaro good battery and alt so the part store says but after one start battery is dead have all new wires ?

Battery is only used to start engine.
after charging battery, start car. remove Negative cable, if car dies, wiring to alternator is faulty.

if continues to run, shut off car and all accessories. install ammeter between Neg. cable and battery, if it shows a draw, pull fuses one by one to find circuit with draw while car is off.

1994 camaro z28 electrical system dead

A couple of things can be the cause. You could have an issue with your battery connection, or your ignition switch is dead. Ignition switch issues tend to kill all the power to the car. They can go without warning. It's located on the driver's side on the steering column.

The cart wont click over dont know anything bout cars so i need to find out if my starter or my alternator went out and sure my battery i need a new one because the car used to click over till we hooked up...

First if the jumper cables were hooked up backwards you could have killed your battery, which was probably dead to begin with. Get a new one then try and start. If it doesnt look more into the ignition switch than the starter. Alternator has nothing to do with starting, it could be bad and not charging the battery but will not cause your car not to start.

Dead Battery when parked. the car is killing batteries

You have what we call a parasatic load(aka battery drain). If your handy with a volt meter I'll explain to you how to locate your drain. If not I recommend you take it to a repair shop and have then locate the drain.
let me know.

Car won't start

buy a cheap volt meter check voltage on both sides of the starter seleniod on the fenderwell if you have 12 volts on both sides while cranking test voltage at starter if you have 12 volts at starter with fully charged battery and it doesnt start you will need a starter it also sounds like you might need an alternator once you can get it started

Dead battery every night in less then 5 hrs truck is dead i know something is still on but what ?

its called a parasitic drain. What we would do is hook up an amp meter to see the drain happening then we would start unplugging fuses one at a time till we found wht circuit is causing it. Its possible its computer problem. You should have ford deal with this if its really an 07 truck because if it is a computer issue you would of wasted money if the independant shop doesnt have the capability to program a new computer. Plus it may be covered under warrenty still.

Have the battery tested - could have dead cells..

Any power drain when the car is off can easily be detected..
