Chevy 2002 Malibu ERG valve

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. It takes a bit of the exhaust gas and runs it back through the intake. This helps clean up emissions.
Rough idle and loss of power are symptoms of a stuck EGR valve. The valves aren't too expensive, but labor varies depending on the model of car.

kinda not in the sense like lot ohc engines where valves dip into cylinders, but if your chain has broke pistons will hammer heads damage the pistons and everything

The 2002 Chevrolet Malibu has the 3.1mfi engine which is not an interference engine. It has a timing chain and not a belt. It is an o.v.h. system with two valves per cylinder. I have replaced timing chains and have had the heads checked, with no damage to the valves.

there is a seperator valve under the hood it mite be faulty. or could be ththe air seperaitor under the dash .this is the door that controlls where youre car draws air from..eather cold air or air heated by the heater core.wich may also be youre problem.there is multible things that could cause this problem .hope this helps you good luck

It is a faulty MAP sensor, or Manifold Absolute Pressure... It is a sensor that tells the fuel injection computer how much fuel to use... Common symptoms are:
1. Check engine light comes on and stays on
2. Another light that looks like the back of a car with squiggly screech marks comes on and off (faulty MAP sensor)
3. Kind of odd feeling to the way it drives, similar to transmission symptoms
4. Difficulty starting engine, especially in cold weather
5. Reduced fuel efficiency

Most Pep Boys can fix this

Just lower ball joints. One lower per side.

how do i get the rear driver door panel off without distroying it???
