The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or engraved in the metal casing.

I'm hooking up this radio to a 2004 Chevy trailblazer what parts do I need

Your best bet is go to a place where they sell an install stereo systems an ask them . The factory radio on your vehicle is hooked up to the vehicles communication network . Class 2 serial data bus , if it's not done correctly the vehicle will not start an run !
The theft deterrent system is a feature on all base and uplevel radios. There is no need to program a security code into the radio as in past model years. The theft deterrent system now utilizes class 2 serial data to determine if the radio is in the appropriate vehicle. Each time the radio receives the "run" power mode message, it compares the VIN information it has stored to the VIN information received from a module on the class 2 serial data circuit responsible for transmitting that information. If a mis-match occurs, the radio display will indicate to the user the radio is locked. Once this takes place the radio will not respond to any button presses and become inoperative. The two scenarios able to cause this condition are:
?€¢
A radio is installed from another vehicle.

?€¢
A module which communicates on the class 2 serial data circuit which supplies VIN information to the radio is replaced and not properly setup with the correct VIN information for that vehicle.

The only way to unlock the radio is by using a scan tool.
The digital radio receiver utilizes class 2 serial data to determine if it is in the appropriate vehicle. Each time the digital radio receiver receives the "run" power mode message, it compares the VIN information received from the body control module (BCM) on the class 2 serial data circuit. If a mis-match occurs, the radio display will indicate to the user the digital radio receiver is locked. The digital radio receiver cannot be unlocked, it must be replaced. The two scenarios able to cause this condition are:

A digital radio receiver is installed from another vehicle.

?€¢
The BCM is replaced and not properly setup with the correct VIN information for that vehicle.

Radio lock on 1990 pontiac bonneville

There is a unlock code. If you call GM, as Pontiac is no longer made, and give them your VIN# they can give you the unlock code. It will be a number sequence. If GM cannot find it due to the age of the model your best bet is to buy an aftermarket radio. I hope this helps.

I need a unlock code for a 2005 gmc sierra! also i need to know how to type the code in to unlock it!!

Hello, if you are refering to the radio, there is no unlock code. the radio has to be programmed with the vin number of the vehicle that it is installed in. this requires some special tools, normally found at your dealer.

How do you unlock a 2003 Hummer RDS radio reading LOC

About the theftlock RDS radio system.
* The theft deterrent system now utilizes class 2 serial data to determine if the radio is in the authorized vehicle.
* Each time the radio receives accessory power from the ignition, it compares the VIN information it has stored to the VIN information received from a module on the class 2 serial data circuit responsible for transmitting that information.
* If a match does not occur, the radio display will indicate "locked".
* Once this occurs the radio will not respond to operations and become inoperative.

The following conditions will enable radio lock:
* A radio is installed from another vehicle.
* A module which communicates on the class 2 serial data circuit which supplies VIN information to the radio is replaced and not properly setup with the correct VIN information for that vehicle.

To unlock radio you will need access to a GM scan tool. Hope helps (remember to rate this).

The radio is locked, when i bought the vehicle there was no manuall or code for the radio.I need too unlock and put the code in the radio. The Model is 203 with code(756)MB Audio 10 Radio/CD/RDS

If the radio is locked up due to inputting the wrong sequence for the radio code it will say "wait" on the display. If this is the case then you need to leave the ignition on along with the radio in order for it to reset. This could take up to 24hrs. You can contact the dealer and give them the vin for the vehicle and ask for a VMI printout for the radio code. Some of the C-class 203 chassis didn't need a radio code.
