is it a diesel or petrol

loud tapping is tappets ..should go away once oil reaches top of motor
water pump or bearing something running off drive belts

if high milage engine

sounds like a timing isue
have them do a sensor test
start the car on a hoist then tap the engine or if posable tap the timing sensor and also try shaking the wires running to the knock sensor and the tining sensor or distributor

If you have drum brakes in back instead of disc brakes, that could be your problem. Very common noise with drums. Pads, springs, could be sticking, or pistons if it is disc brakes

the problem is probably an idle air control valve. its a cheap fix. the body is ford the motor is mazda.
