Flashing o/d light 1996 forf f150

Change filter in transmition and check for band pices or trash. If you do, put 1/2 new and 1/2 old trans fluid back in. Then check speed sensor to see if it is OK. I have 1996 F150 300six with E40D trans. I have 267000 mills on my truck.

How does one disconnect the check engine light on a 1996 ford f 150 pick up? engine light stays on and has been checked by ford repair with no insuing issues. light still remains on.

The check engine light comes on because the computer has detected a problem. You need to have the truck scanned for fault codes. Try going to Autozone or similar place to get the scan done. Once you have the codes, you can post them here for an expert to evaluate.

1996 F150 will not start. Turn key and nothing

if you hear clicking at the starter solenoid, then hit the starter with a hammer a few times,if it turns over a little, then either replace the brushes in the starter which is about $20.00 or buy a new rebuilt starter for about $90.00

Where to buy 1996 f150 front bearing retaining clip

try a salvge yard or at Ford dealership,be careful that from 92-96 they have changed alot, between light duty an heavy duty, and the difference in years as well. But i think you will be ok with used from 94-96,and i think that the heavy duty has a ratchet nut verses just a nut to hold the hub on
