I have a 02' Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with a 4.7L eng. every time I turn to the left my it is very hard for me to turn the steering wheel only to the left turning to the right is no problem. This happens mostly when I'm at parked once the vehicle is in motion I have no problem turning the wheel. also I have a hydraulic radiator fan running off the power steering. can you give me an idea of what this could be?

What is the voltage on the signal wire? it should be a little over 1 volt and fluctuating wildly.

replace your idle air control valve located back of the throttle body.

then blinker control will stick at times it needs replacing. its small round and most of the time its shiny

Could be low on oil, or need a shot of additive if it is a limited slip differential.
The noise may be the clutches in the diff or one of the axle bearings.

What you are describing is a failure of a main circuit. The first thing you should check is yo make sure that your battery is in good condition and that the cables are clean and tight. Let me know if yu find anything wrong there. Then there may be another main circuit problem. Check all of the fuses in your fuse block in the engine compartment. If any of these fuses are blown, it will usually cause several things to not work. If you find any fuses blown, DON'T REPLACE IT YET. Let me know WHICH fuse is blown and I can help you find out why it blew so you can get the problem fixed.

Check the battery. If it starts to fail it will start doing any conceivable thing including failing to start the car. Have the battery checked with a load tester. A simple voltmeter will not give an account of the requirements needed and the ability of the battery to meet those requirements.

if the gas cap is on properly and the light is still on , then you need to replace it. the light means that there is gas vapor leaking from it

sounds like your steering box is on its way out, my jeep done the same only when turning right, try charlton auto parts they break grand cherokee, and i found them very helpful.
