Okay, there are a few reasons that this could happen, one being the selector motor which you have replaced so lets go to the next thing which is the fuse, when the motor goes bad it will blow fuse sometimes so check all fuses even under the hood fuse box, i think its a 20 amp fuse but test all of them.
The next problem could be a bad ground, run a new ground wire from the front diff to the frame of the truck.
try these tests and let me know the out come then we can move on, good day, also there is a lot of info on this problem on the web, type in 1999 ranger blinking 4x4 lights, good day
The vin # does not get higher as the year goes up, the vin # each number has a meaning to it, for example body code is one number then year then engine type and so on, it does not start at 1 and go up as the years do, hope this explains it good day
hi if it is an automatic you need to use dexron2 for transmision, if it is a manual you need 10w30 and for the diff 80w90 for the rear hope this helped
I have a 1998 Bighorn 3.0L if the wrong grade of oil is used in the motor it miss fires and runs rough, due to the injectors being oil pressure controlled, I have heard of extreme cases causing a failure to start when cold. good luck
If its the diesel engine the fuel is running out the head overnight try parking the car with the back up higher than the front to prove this , then get the valve from the Isuzu dealer that stops this .
