Thanks for using FixYa. The timing belt should be replaced after 60,000 miles. If the belt is not replaced at that time then later it might effect as it can also break after 60,000 miles anytime. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

    60 000 miles = 96560.64 kilometers and one more thing I forgot to tell you is that the belt should be changed after 6-7 years. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

You don't have to replace it but you have to take the belt off to remove the water pump for the extra $30.00 i would recomend changing the belt too, unless the belt has been changed less then 20,000 miles ago .
