I read this same problem all the time, the reason u can't bleed the lines is that a special tool is required that pluge into the ABS and holds the hydraulic valves in the ABS control open for bleeding, there is no way around this.

Under the firewall on the drivers side is a proportioning valve which may need to return to center before you can bleed the system.Get someone to put the break pedal down why you tap on it and the continue tapping on it with the brakes being pumped up and down and it should find it's center. When it does free up you should be able to bleed the system.

you have to do an automated bleed with a scan tool. There is a section in the scan tool to do such a task.

I have a 2000 chevy silverado, the front left brakes keep getting stuck and i just change caliper for the second time so i know its not that.

It may be a bad rubber brake line that connects to that caliper, preventing brake fluid from exiting the caliper. Older rubber brake lines can collapse internally and prevent fluid passing through. If the rubber feels spongy, it needs replacing.

Brake line on chevy silverado broken, need diagram to follow line back to box in middle of truck

Brake line diagrams dont exist like wiring diagrams do. If your truck has ABS, that's the ABS controller, and if not it's just the proportioning/metering valve.

2000 silerado sometimes brake pedel goes to floor on low speed stops

Brake pedal shouldn't go to floor for any reason. Check brake fluid level. If high, then there is a problem with the master cylinder.

If the fluid is low, add until the proper level and check for leaks in the brake lines.

Is there an ABS light on?

I have a 1999 chevy silverado with a 4.8 LITER.. my brakes were fine until i broke a line at the frnt passenger side. i lost most of the fluid..i repaired thr line and bled the sytem numerous times.. i...

Hello, my name is Ben. Since you say you lost most of the brake fluid, I agree it's most likely air trapped in the ABS modulator. The problem is once air is trapped in the modulator, it will take a trip to the dealer to bleed the system. Before you go to the dealer, you may want to try bleeding the brakes IN THIS ORDER, right rear, left rear, right front and finally left front.. That is the recommended sequence.

Abs on my 2000 silverado not working

Make sure you bled the brakes so no air is in the brake lines. Refill with brake fluid.Have someone pump the brakes until they get hard at turn the bleeding nut behind the wheels at the caliper.Do this until the brakes are good and you can stop fairly easy. If the ABS light is on. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery with the engine off. Leave it for a minute or 2 and then reconnect it back. I hope this helps. Good luck.

2000 chevy lunima rear brake line blew replaced brake line and bleed but anti-brake lite stays on

Chevys are bare to blead, especially if it has ABS. Chevy dealers actually use TECH 2 / their computer to blead ABS systems properly. With it, they open the ports in ABS module, which helps the brake fluid flow. Unless of course you have ripped the sensor wire for ABS by accident.
