As a result, sometimes an issue in the ABS can trigger the traction control light. If this is the case, then both the ABS and Traction Control lights will be on.

Several autoparts stores like Autozone, Oreilys and Advance will scan your vehicle for free and tell you what Codes are present. The scanners are different, so the store would need a scanner that has the ability to diagnose the traction control system with the ABS.
The Traction control works with the ABS to limit wheel slip. Intermittent flashing of the Traction light can occur, sometimes the brake pads are worn and do not respond as well as they should. The system counts the RPM of each wheel, applies braking and can interrupt power of the engine.
Don't mess with the ABS light get it diagnosed and fixed. Your brakes will work with the ABS light on but you will skid because the system will switch to basic hydraulic action with no control of how much to each wheel. If ABS is on then it is not working.
It is safe to drive. You need a scan tool to get a code out of it. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor going bad. All of these lights will work together normally. The traction control uses the ABS to gain traction, and the Brake Assist System is part of the stability control. Also uses the ABS.
where do you hear
moaning sound coming from ? Under the hood in engine bay ? That could be the ABS pump motor ! maybe going bad . service traction control light on ? DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code or codes stored . Have codes checked .
ABS and traction control really are only for panic stops and if your tires slip on wet surface's and yes each tire has a sensor on it. However if the brake light comes on this has nothing to do with the ABS or traction control lights. It's not a parking brake light. This light tells you, you have a serious brake problem.
The abs sensors also control the traction control and 4 wheel drive actuators so if one of the sensors is faulty the traction control will be disabled and the drive system will be stuck in the mode set at time of failure be that 4x4 or 2wd
get the abs system repaired
Traction Control system adjusts your throttle and braking automatically to help keep your car from slipping on wet/snowy roads. If the light flashes momentarily then that means it is doing the job properly. If the light flashes constantly or stays on then it indicates a problem with the traction control or ABS system and could pose a safety concern.
