I'm currently looking at a 2004 Volvo C70 LPT convertible that is for sale in SoCal. It has 56,000 miles on it and at first glance, appears to be in excellent condition. I've done a fair amount of research and I'm getting mixed reviews on the reliabiliy of this model and year. I'm new to Volvo, so any input would be appreciated. Thanks,Bill
NO!! not if your worried about upkeep cost and mpg. you should run far and fast from anything volvo.
volvo's are like bmw's and other such over priced cars. they just don't make any financial sense. unless your making a statement by what you drive.
but conceder this before you buy a volvo just the power window regulators if you had to replace them would cost you as much as a used chevy to replace. and if you had that chevy the same part would be under 100 $. you don't even want me to talk about engine or transmission work in Volvo land lol.
No, run away as fast as you can! I have a 2001 c70, purchased used with 95000 km's and over paid (in retrospect). In the last 4 years I have replaced $6000.00 in parts and labor and I am currently looking at another $2000.00 in replacement parts; a 2001 c70 is valued at $7500 to $8000 approximately. Starting issue, power steering issue, not to mention I have had every fluid leak from this THING. Seals leak, electronics fail, it goes on and on. Poor quality for something you pay a premium for.
My advice, run from a Volvo!
