New HID low beam bulb in my 04 Navigator

Look at the existing bulbs.

HID bulbs are a a different shape and have a high voltage ballast because the are a high voltage arc lamp.

As opposed to a standard halogen bulb that has a filament.

The light from HID is much brighter and often brilliant white or blue-white.

HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty headlight switch or issue with its wiring. Or its faulty head light fuse.

If you have the HID bulbs check with an Autoparts store like Autozone. I believe the right and left headlights have separate Relays in the Powerbox. It is possible that there are 2 low beam and 2 high beam relays total. They pull too much power for both sides to be wired together and may wire the high beams separate too!

can but wiring system have to be upgrade cos it will destroy ur battery easy and ur lighting swith as well.......ground wire is important

it is your hid ballast located under the headlight itself you can get one on ebay under a hundred bucks

Go back over what you did. I hope you didn't touch the lamp, and get oil from your hands on a halagon bulb.
The connector may not be on right
The new bulb ,may be no good,lost it's vacuum

replaced the low beam headlight on 2004 Navigator, but still wont work. fuses are good.

Your low beam is a HID bulb, number D2R, and your high beam is a halogen 9005 bulb

your owner manual will list the bulb. It is expensive. tascafordparts.com for discount from Ford Dealer

here's 2003, don't have 2004

Navigator high intensity discharge (HID) headlamp

1. Remove the front radiator air deflector.

1. Remove the three bolts and the headlamp assembly.
• Disconnect the electrical connectors.

8. Remove the headlamp bulb protective cover(s).

• Remove the HID lamp cover.
• Remove the high beam cover.
• Disconnect the electrical connector and push the grommet into the headlamp assembly.

1. Release the spring tabs and remove the HID low beam bulb.
