2005 pilot driver side window: The window stopped working, all others are fine. I replaced the motor and regulator still didn't work. Window motor does work when powered by 12V battery charger. Replaced switch assembly, no dice. Located driver side window fuse its good, switched it with a neighboring fuse just to be sure, nada... Voltage at the fuse terminals is 12 V There is a small black box that is between the switch assembly and the motor. I am guessing that it is some sort of relay. There is an audible click when all but the DS window are energized. When the DS window button is depressed the click is quieter as if a solenoid isn't quite pulling. Does anyone have any suggestions for the next move?

buy one of those neadle testers and make sure you have juice at the switch .. with the key on .. if so then try on the other side of the switch and see if its going through the switch .. if so its the motor .. again ?? test it all the way back to motor you will soon find what is wrong.. jerry holler if you need more.

Driver's side power window will not work

Most likely It could be a blown fuse or the window switch itself. If you here a noise like there is a metal cord rubbing against the door panel it could be the window regulator/ window motor.

Does a 2002 Toyota RAV4 have a relay for window motor? This car is one of the cheap-material-made junk one ever buys, it took Toyota years to finally recall transmission problem on sears of 2001-2003 more...

Hi, there is only one relay for all of the windows, so that is not the problem. The likely problem is the switch. I recommend you test the switch using an ohmmeter.
In the case of the door lock, that problem may be a failed lock motor. I recommend you apply power directly to the lock motor to see if it works. If it does, check the switch. If not, replace the motor.

Is there a fuse for the drivers side window? the window wont go down. all other windows work

Hi there,

All power windows are controlled by the same fuse.

Therefore, the most logical problem will lie either with the driver's window 'switch' or the driver's window regulator 'motor'.

If you know how to remove the internal door panel to gain access to the 2-wire connector on the regulator motor, undo the connector and using suitable jumper wires, connect each plug wire to a spare 12v battery - this should operate the motor. Then, reverse the wires on the battery and the regulator motor should move the opposite way.

If the motor operates "continuously" in both directions when connected directly to battery power, then the fault lies in the driver's master window switch.

If the motor fails to move "continuously" (ie it stops part way) in either direction, then the motor on the window regulator is faulty and should be replaced with a known good motor.

Cheers,

The drivers side window stoped working on my 2004 silverado the passenger side works fine

Try the fuse. The switch may be faulty so check by removing the inner door panel and connecting a 12v battery via two wires to the motor that winds the window up and down. If it goes up and down it's probably the switch which may just need a clean on the terminals.

Power window comes up intermittently

I had the same problem. It was a bent rod on the regulator, which burned out the motor. Easiest way is to switch out the whole assembly, the motor and the regulator. Mine is working just fine now. I am a female and was able to switch it out just fine i just had to have someone else hold the window in the right positions to get to the bolts on the window.
