I would first check the oil level, then borrow a mechanical gauge that can be screwed in instead of the electrical sending unit.
My assumption is that the sending unit is bad.
But if you ground out the wire that normally goes to the sending unit, the gauge should go to max pressure.
If it does not, it could be the gauge instead of the sender.

Why does my darango shut off while driving?

If it's an exclamation point inside a triangle, it's called a master warning symbol. This is the Master Warning Light symbol. If this light is on, there will likely be text displayed as well on the instrument panel, or another warning light. Look for text in particular. It could very well point out something as serious as low oil pressure. If the engine is not running, you can't very well check your gauges, but you may have lost all oil pressure or overheated the engine. Recommend you consult a mechanic familiar with your model.

If I were you I would put an oil pressure gauge in place of the factory pressure sending unit, these can fail sometime when hot and cause false reading at the gauge, of the pressure seems ok replace the sender, oil viscosity can affect pressure readings but not to that extent, also check the simple things like your oil levels as these are commonly overlooked

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 When Im driving for awhile the check gauges light comes on and oil gauge come down

You either have good oil pressure and a bad oil pressure sending unit, or your oil pressure really is low. Get it checked out, so you don'y destroy the engine.

When i start my 99 dodge durango check gauge light come on

That means that one of the gauges are low. Or that something is wrong. Maybe the oil pressure is not coming up like it should. Or that the temp sensor is sending the computer a false reading saying that the temp is too hot. You will just have to look at the gauges to see which one is in the red.

If the valve lifters are quiet you most likely have oil pressure even with gauge showing "0".Sounds like the oil pressure switch going bad.I would try that first.

Oil pressure gauge reads 40 or half pressure

on general motors engines all the way down to 15lbs of oil pressure is acceptable i prefer 30 but if the 40 you have down is the lbs of pressure your in good shape brand new engines generally only have about 45lbs of pressure
