You should replace your timing belt every 60,000 miles or every 96,560 km in your case.

How often should you change your timing belt?

Most manufactures recommend changing the Timing belt at around 60,000 miles / 100,000 Km or 7 years, whichever comes first. They have been known to last a lot longer than that but it is cheaper to have it replaced than to risk critical and expensive engine damage if it breaks.

When should I change my timing belt on my 2007 hyundai accent gs hatchback? it has 63000 miles on it.

you wont need to change it until at least 100,000 miles. Typically that will last the life of the car. But alot of people, including myself, wait until it breaks to replace it. It is about $1000 to replace because the engine has to be partially disassembled.

TIMING CHAIN CHANGE

hyundai recommends replacing the belt every 60,000 miles or 48 mos and this is an "interference" engine which means if the belt breaks, it will cause internal engine damage. happy holidays

We have a hyundai exel and we need to do a 200,000 km service wat do we need to do ?

The timing belt must be changed every 100,000 miles [very important], then the usual things like oil change, fuel filter, air filter, etc. Finally the transmission should be serviced.

Accent 2001 won't start after driving for only 100km

you may want to see if your catalitic converter is clogged up. I had a car that had that problem, when you drove too much it would die and wouldn't start for a long time after that. I had the converter replaced and now it drives just fine. May not be the same problem but it could be. and most muffler shops will check for a small fee if not for free.
