one of the door ajar switches are sticking. needs to be put on the computer to find out which one. only other way is to go around and unplug the switches until your light shuts off.
one of the door/van loading door switches has failed it thinks a door is open so the the interior light stays on and the door open warning will ding the interior light should have a switch to disable it or take out the bulb but you cant stop the dinging until you find the faulty latch switch and fix it
Clean the contacts on the side door with course steel wool then lube them with die-electric grease, avail from most parts stores or the dealer, this should take care of the problem, if not u will have to remove the rivets and install new switch contacts both on the door and the door jam.
Might sound funny but check the rheostat knob that dims the interior lights, sounds like its set to always on. Check the dome light too, some have always on and on when door is open settings.
