P0021:"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 2, check timing chain for wear
P0034 :Bypass Valve Control Circuit Low, check crank vent valve.
P0393 :Camshaft position (CMP) sensor B, bank 2 - circuit high input

BMW, 3.0i has two Timing Chains. Primary Timing Chain can be
reached by removing the Harmonic Balancer. Lower Timing Case Cover. Vanos Adjusting Unit. Secondary timing chain replacement will require removal of several components and Vanos Adjusting Unit.

Actually the timing chain is for a lifetime, the only thing you replace is the chain guide and the tensioner.

I don't think they have a service interval. They usually last a long time. I would guess 150,000 to 175,000 miles. Or about 250,000 km

I had this same problem in my 02 745i... It's leaking from the internal coolant pipe... a $.05 rubber ring is going to cost you 3-5k easily.

The timing chain is nothing like a timing belt service interval wise. The only time that you would need to change a timing chain is if its somehow damaged. This can happen when worked on and the chain guides arent fitted back on properly, camshaft vanos units not tightened etc. Otherwise the timing chains are almost always never changed!
