On the 2005 Audi A6 3.2 (6 cylinder) the battery is stored in the right rear trunk, under the trunk floor lid. Note: To jump start the car, you simply raise the engine hood, and look in the upper left corner of the engine compartment, just slightly below the plastic cover. There you will see connections that lead to the battery and are specifically designed for jumping (or charging) the battery. You will need to lift up gently on a reddish brown cover which is protecting the positive terminal. The negative terminal (black) is not covered.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to jump the battery directly. The battery could explode and you could get sulfuric acid on your face and in your eyes, which would be bad. Very bad.
Yes
Of course you can. The battery is located in the engine bay at the very top near the windshield. You need to remove the plastic cover to access.
This is not true with the 3.2 model (6 cylinder engine). It may be true for the 8 cylinder model. Having said that, it is likely that Audi has provided separate jumping/charging terminals separate from the battery. This is for your safety. Read the owners manual to review the proper procedure. If you don't have access to the manual, call an Audi dealer and talk to the service department and get directions from a service adviser or the service manager -- otherwise, a mechanic or the shop foreman.

SOURCE: how do i change time on clock on 2005 audi a6 quattro s line
I think I can help you. I just did this on mine yesterday because my clock runs a few minutes fast each month. It was somewhere bizarre - sorry I'm not near the car to be more clear. I think I picked Sound, Settings and for some odd reason, it was there, rather than in Car, Settings. NOOO - it was in Tuning - click the AM/FM button, then Settings. I've only had it for a few months, but you'd think I'd have that one figured out due to re-setting it.

I found the battery myself. All of the responses were incorrect as to where the battery was located. Everyone said it was up front but in my car, it is in the trunk. I got the problem fixed myself.

Do you mean a full charge 12.6 volts or full of water but a battery a needs to produce current cold cranking and cranking amps to spin the the starter and start the engine. It can have the correct voltage but insufficent current to start the engine
