Try applying pressure to cable while a second person gently bounces the opening edge of the bonnet.

Hood release cable level inside of car works but wont release hood . how i get it to release to get hood to pop . so i can open hood

Have someone press down on the hood while you pull the cable. Most likely the latch is just sticking and needs a good shot of penetrating oil(WD40).May even try having them bump the hood while hold the latch.Good luck!

Hood wire is out from the latch at the hood end...how to open the hood (1997 Honda accord)

first, try smacking the hood at one of the front corners while someone else pulls the release handle. or even after you've pulled on it. if that works, once open, adjust and lubricate the hood latch assembly. if it still won't open, and it's the cable and not the latch you'll have to replace it anyway, so instead of removing the grill, cut the cable behind the pull lever under the dash where you can reach it. then skin the outer cable insulation away from the actual steel cable exposing an inch or two of it. then holding the insulation and plastic housing with pliers, grab the steel cable itself with pliers and pull it to open the hood. then replace the cable. the further you can reach up under the panel the better your chances of getting past the broken part of the cable and avoid removing the grill. you might also be able to gain access from up under the car if you're lucky.

My cable to open my hood is broken now my hood will not open its a 1994 honda civic.

you might have enough cable to catch a hold of with pliers if you remove the cable handle assemble from dash,if not cut away at cable housing until you do

How do you open the hood to a 1986 Honda Civic with a broken hood latch cable?

Slide under car in front center and slightly on the driver's side.
Reach really high and find the broken cable and tug to the right (towards the driver side tire). You may want to use a flashlight and locking pliers.
