'94 Cadillac DeVille Concourse. My winsdhield

'94 Cadillac deville Concourse. My winsdhield defrost fan will not shut off even when I turn the ignition off. I have to unplug the wires from the blower under the hood to get it to turn off. I have tested the hot and ground in the wire plug and they test fine. When the blower is unplugged the ac/heat also do not work. When the blower is plugged in it will not stop but I can operate the ac and heat separately meaning the ac blows cold through the dash vents and the heat blows fine depending on which I select and what temp I select.

Follow the wires from the blower motor back to the blower motor resistor, normally only a few inches away and held in by a 7 mm screw. Replace it

OK, the relay for the blower motor needs to be replaced, or the blower motor module.

No heat after burnt smell

Either your Fan motor is faulty or the fan control resister assembly is burnt out, either of those will cause the smell.

Best bet...go and get the wiring harness. 100 bucks :( but its the only one for ALL Cadillacs! I didnt want to spend the money for it but its was better than frying the dash again and better than using the piece of **** stock radio :)
