Hot starts fail.
ever do a tune up, spark parts? filters?
does it start backup if you WOT crank it
WOT -= wide open throttle or as some say flooring the gas pedal
and crank it. (the trick is it cuts fuel fully to clear the flood)
this clears flooding, (on all EFI cars made)
or test #1 , crank with just 5% added throttle this trick
adds air to hide bad IAC valve. and engine starts. (tricks/skills/ASE magic)\what eva.
but may stall if you lift the right foot, does it? hot?
test 3. will it start up with sprayed, instant start in a can?
hot? at air cleaner intake,
run for 3seconds and stall.
if yes fueling is wrong, (as in none)
if NO, spark is dead or weak
When a carburetor sits it can develop up chunks of stuff to build up in in the fuel jets. You can clean them by taking them out and blowing with air compressor or using a fine piece of wire.
If your fuel pump is in the gas tank the fuel pump is cooled and lubricated by the gas. If you run out of gas and keep trying to start it many times you can damage the fuel pump. If you have a older car you can try putting a little gas in the carburetor and see if it cranks, if it cranks with gas in carburetor you know it is a lack of fuel problem. You might try spraying starting fluid in air filter but to much can damage your engine. Your vehicle fuel pump can run and pump gas but depending on your vehicle you may not have enough fuel pressure to run. I would check your fuel pump fuse and relay and fuel inertia switch/fuel pump kill switch if you have one. I do not know why running out of gas would cause them to fail but it is something to check.
I believe you should just set the idle higher at the throttle body or MAF so it gets enough air and fuel to keep running. Those butterflies have to be cracked open a little to start with so it's getting enough air to run without you having to keep your foot on the throttle pedal.
not value cover gasket leak out around spark plug not to inside piston. but cut right off how hot? no water in oil? or filled up piston? maybe head crack. fuel pump pumping? crack line not went eng hot. ture key on look or someone look 10lb of pressure comeing out fast.water no. antifreeze yes.
maybe it didnt run out of gas but just shut down, if it did run out it may have sucked up dirt from the botoom of the tank causing the fuelpump to lock up, what you can try to see if the pump starts again is to spray starting fluid into throtle body and cranking the engine, the engine should start and will die out after fluid is burnt but may stay running if power stays to pump and it frees up, you may have to try this a few times, if you spray and it doesnt start then you may have a diffrent problem. make sure to have someone hold pedal to floor and spray for 3sec, then release gas pedal connect hose to throtlebody and try to start. good day.
If it will start right back up and if you hold gas pedal will truck stay running ? if it will stay running when you hold the gas then replace the idle air control valve it is bad and cleaning it didnt help. but if it wont stay running even if you hold the gas pedal then the first thing is to make sure you are not loosing fuel presure
