Seat belts stick in many cases due to coins or othwer small objects being dropped into the retractor inadvertently, pull the cover and check, if nothing is found the belt must be replaced, they are never repaired due to safety concerns that the belt will not function correctly in a crash.

2013 Chrysler 200 my passenger side seat belt is stuck around the head rest.

If the passenger side seat belt in your 2013 Chrysler 200 is stuck around the headrest, it could be due to a variety of issues. Here are a few things you may want to try:
  1. Check the seat belt retractor: The seat belt retractor is responsible for pulling the seat belt back into the housing when it is not in use. If the retractor is faulty or stuck, it could cause the seat belt to become stuck. You may be able to fix the problem by gently pulling on the seat belt to try and free the retractor.
  2. Check for debris: There may be debris or a foreign object stuck in the seat belt mechanism, causing it to become stuck. Carefully inspect the area around the seat belt and try to remove any debris that you find.
  3. Check the seat belt latch: The seat belt latch may be faulty or stuck, causing the seat belt to become stuck. You'll want to check the latch for any visible damage or problems and try to release it.
If you are unable to fix the problem, I recommend having a qualified mechanic diagnose and fix the issue for you. Seat belts are an important safety feature and it's important to ensure that they are functioning properly.

How to fix or disable passenger seat belt chime? It sometimes goes off for no reason.

There is a switch in the seat that operates when someone is sitting on it. This will operate the seat belt warning if someone sits on it and does not do up their seat belt. It appears that this switch is intermittently faulty. If you remove the seat (usually only 4 bolts) you should find the wires to the switch and can either bypass it or replace it.

The rear drivers side passenger seat in my Mercedes 2004 ml350 is stuck down...how do get it to come back up. very little room to work

Not an easy task. You likely have one of 2 problems. If center seat belt is in the seat that is down, it may be locked. If so, you need to remove the seat back cover then the seat belt retractor. You can then position the seat belt retractor upright (how it sits when the seat is up) and pull the seat belt out making slack to raise the seat. This only happens if the either the stop on the seat belt is broken or the seat belt guide on the seat back is broken. If that's not the problem, you likely have a release cable that has come loose under the seat. If you look at the half that works, you can determine what you need to move on the locked seat and try to get to it with a long tin screwdriver or similar implement.

Squeaking sound from fan belt

  • Take a can of brake clean and spray it on the belt while it is rotating. If the sound goes away for good it was a dirty or wet belt. If the sound goes away and come back it is more than likely a bad belt. Remove the belt and turn all the pulleys to see if they are spinning free. a stuck pulley can cause a belt to squeal too. If a pulley should catch a bit then perhaps the pulley could be part of the issue as well. Should all pulleys check good then put a new belt on. Don't forget to check the tension pulley for weak springs.

Belt routing diagram for 2004 ford taurus i am stuck sitting along the interstate have new belt cant get it on

You need to relieve the tension on the tensioner pulley with a 3/8 inch or a 1/2 inch drive with a ratchet as you put the new belt on. It is too difficult to describe in words how the belt goes on. Use the following diagram to help you, the link is: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.readmanual.com/forum/images/im.1.1273955811.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.readmanual.com/forum/cars/Ford-forums-all-models/Serpentine-belt-on-a-2004-ford-taurus/&usg=__pNxVHcVlOwx8shXvEqHunxPgb8s=&h=356&w=600&sz=22&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=wlBhPo6sWzd39M:&tbnh=100&tbnw=168&prev=/images%3Fq%3D2004%2Bford%2Btaurus%2Bbelt%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1436%26bih%3D892%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=729&vpy=202&dur=4532&hovh=173&hovw=292&tx=163&ty=92&ei=AKuyTL-EG4ygsQOyh5HtCw&oei=AKuyTL-EG4ygsQOyh5HtCw&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0

Stuck seat belt

Remove the panels to the belt, normally these can miss roll and get stuck. Unbolt the unit so you can get some slack that should be enough to release and pull it back out to correct it. If that will not do it get a replacement from a junkyard and replace.

My CD won't eject from my car radio.

theres a rubber belt that works with the eject function. you must remove the radio from car, usually there 2 screws that keeps the cover in place, then theres 4 screws that holds the cd unit in place , be care full on some of the models there is a flex cable under the unit that you need to remove very care full the belt should sit on the side of the unit replace this belt. It also sounds like your lens is dirty try to move the lens in a position so it can be reached with a ear cleaner, "cotton on a stick" use Methylated Spirits or isoponyl clean gently...You can get the isoponyl from pharmacy. Hope this help
