Possibly manual choke conversion cable or cruise control operating cable.

Follow the throttle cable to the throttle body. Look on the opposite side of the throttle body from where the cable attaches. Thats the throttle position sensor.

Wheres the throttle sensor on a 1991 acura integra

Opposite side of the throttle body from the throttle cable. As the throttle cable pulls the throttle open it moves the sensor. It should be rather tight to the firewall and sometimes hard to see.

I have a 1997 buick la sabre and i need to locate and replace the throttle sensor and i do not know where it is located and how to change it...can anyone help?

The throttle position sensor is on the throttle body, exactly opposite the throttle cable. Locate the throttle cable, and look on the opposite side of that aluminum housing that the big black air intake tube attaches to.

Car moves and rolls while in drive. But the gas doesnt work. The pedal is loose and when u mash down there is no result

The throttle is operated by a cable from the pedal to the engine throttle. That cable is either broken or has come loose from the pedal or the engine throttle. Check the pedal first. If the pedal does not have any return spring and falls to the floor the cable is most likely the problem. If you are familiar with the engine components and can see the throttle and cable you could have someone try to operate the pedal without the engine running. If it has come loose from the throttle you should see it move. If not you and appears to be connected to both the throttle and pedal the cable is broken. You will have to have a new cable installed if it has broken. Good luck.

Where is the throttle sensor on 1994 mazda mpv located

Follow the hose running towards the engine from the air filter and you will come to the throttle body. This is where your throttle cable is also located. On the opposite side of where the throttle cable is you will see wires running to a sensor, this is your throttle position sensor.

Need location of TPS sensor . Autozone employee told me that the code that was reading the computer was for the TPS sensor replacement. I don't have an idea where it is

The TPS is located on the opposite side of the throttle cable on the throttle body. If you don't know what the throttle cables are, get a friend to sit in the van and push the gas pedal down until you see something moving. it will be on the opposite side of the movement

TPS in a 1998 GMC Jimmy

the tps is ususally at the side of the throttle body opposite where the throttle cable / tv cable mount.
sometimes it won't start, run, or run erratically. there are ways of testing this unit (by output voltage) before you commit to buying a new one. to test it you will need a dvom (digital volt ohm meter).

just a note: straight from the book... "a broken or loose tps can cause intermitten burst of fuel from the injector and an unstable idle because the ecm thinks the throttle is moving."
